Just plugging along

Life is just plugging along right now. I started working 5 days a week this week and thank goodness we had a bad weather day on Wed. my housework needed to be caught up. Hubby has now been in school for a full week and loves it. He still does not have a job but we are making due with little odds and ends jobs. The princess is officially potty trained, she has worn big girl panties to school for 3 days now. (she has had few accidents at home but none at school) The little man is doing so good in school and loves Cub Scouts (that is paid up for the year and the den is so understanding so we can keep that up even with out money). My dad got his cast off this week and had a good dr appointment this week, he will start p.t. next week. Mom is doing as well as can be expected with dad being home 24/7 that is taking some getting use to. Well I think that is all I have for now.

A wonderful week

This week we have been blessed in so many ways. First the hubby and I where able to get the money for the Fire Academy and started class on Thur. He is soooo excited and is really enjoying it. Then yesterday the wonderful women I work with got together and donated a ton of food and toiletries to us so that we did not have to worry about food. When I say a ton I mean really the donations filled the bed of a full sized truck, I had to rearrange my kitchen just to find room for it all. I feel so blessed and loved at this time of struggle. I want to thank all of you who have been praying for us it has been felt. I will keep everyone updated on the job front and every thing else.

Prayers for a little one

I am writing this for a little boy in the princess class that needs our prayers. Nate Oxford is a two year old the just last month (just before the holidays) was diagnosed with a rare and progressive form of cancer. The doctors found tumors on his brain and spine that are progressively growing. They did surgery to remove some of the tumors on the brain but the recovery was hard and chemo did not go well afterwards, they have tried a new mix of chemo this week and seems to be doing better. He is not very responsive and is just not doing well with be prodded and poked at all times (can you imagine at only 2!!). His wonderful parents have set up a set up a web site to keep everyone updated and for prayers- www.prayfornateoxford.com please take a look at his long and painful journey at such a young age and pray for God's healing hands to be on this family.

My husband a fireman?

Well as I wrote before my husband lost his job last month and things are getting very scary around here now. But we really feel that we are being called to change directions so, my hubby has started the registration process to become a fireman and we have (with help) figured out how to pay for the fire academy. The only problem is how to survive between then and now. God has provided us with so much and I know he will keep us feed and sheltered but it is hard to remember that when rent comes due and you do not have the money and do not know when you will. Our church has helped us in the past and the are willing again so hopefully between odd jobs and help from all around us we will make it. The fire academy will only take about 6 weeks and after he should have a guaranteed job with benefits and great hours. Any ways I just need prayers for patients and faith until we are thru this tiring time. Also please pray for my father as he has some medical test to go thru this week, I will explain when we have more info.
